Sydney Level 2 Water Restrictions
13 December 2019 Brett Hobbs
Level 2 water restrictions are now in place in Sydney and other parts of NSW. This means that if you live in these areas, you can no longer use a hose to wash your car, and you can't use a pressure washer that's connected to the drinking water supply.
What you can do instead, is use a pressure washer that draws from a bucket/water drum. This will use less water, and you can really keep track of your water usage with this method.
We've come up with an inexpensive method using a few different parts purchased from our local Autobarn and/or Bunnings, so that you can still use a pressure washer to wash your car, and save some water while doing so.
Check out our Water Restrictions guide by clicking here:
It's important that you get the correct information for your relevant area. If you're on level 2 water restrictions and your local rules do not allow you to use a pressure washer, it would be a good idea to contact your local council member to ask/ petition them in relation to being able to use pressure washers for washing your car, as it uses less water than from a hose.
